Your support will help keep Mill Road Special

Love Mill Road funds small initiatives to help tackle inequality, isolation and hardship in our local community.

It was founded by members of the Mill Road Winter Fair Committee who recognise that opportunities to connect, volunteer and collaborate help sustain Mill Road’s strong community spirit and identity. Our projects offer ‘real life’ shared experiences that are  hugely beneficial.

Love Mill Road are now seeking funding from local organisations to support our 2023-4 programme. Prospective projects include children’s play equipment for Romsey Mill, a portrait exhibition of fictional characters from Mill Road’s rich history (led by the David Parr House) inclusive film, poetry and music workshops, a ‘Summer Shindig’ for local families and our annual commitment to fund the Mill Road Winter Fair. We rely on donations knowing that our work inspires local community groups and charities to plan creatively and with ambition.

Local organisations are choosing to support us by:

  • Donating to Love Mill Road so that we can continue to support local projects – we will include your logo on our website and (for donations of £1,000+) on the promotional leaflets and posters that publicise our events and activities throughout Cambridge.
  • Volunteering at community events, including the annual Mill Road Winter Fair and Mill Road Fringe. More details at millroadwinterfair.org or by emailing volunteers@millroadwinterfair.org.

Our projects enable local organisations to showcase their commitment to their neighbourhood communities. Please contact Kate on info@lovemillroad.org.uk to discuss this further.
