Mill Road Fringe – Autumn film and poetry events

Love Mill Road has funded two superb autumn Mill Road Fringe events:

A mini film festival at ARU’s Covent Garden Drama Centre featured a programme of family friendly and cutting edge arthouse films, including the enigmatic Faces Places by veteran French director, Agnes Varda; one of the greatest ever silent movies – Sunrise a Song of Two Humans – and the ever popular Chicken Run.

A poetry evening at Hot Numbers with informal readings ad inspiration from local poets and writers. Once again this event proved that there is phenomenal demand for poetry in Cambridge. There was a waiting list of 120 for this event! The result is a new Mill Road Poetry Group, with connections to a network of creative writing groups and activities hosted by ARU … and plans for more Mill Road Fringe poetry evenings in 2024.
