Summer Shindig
The Mill Road Fringe Summer Shindig on July 9th 2023 was a huge success. Hundreds of people enjoyed a relaxed late afternoon in the park with picnics and family activities. Live music was led by Colonel Spanky’s Love Ensemble, with guest bands Soft Crunchy Landing and Blue Cinema and the Cambridge Harmony Chorus. There were charity stalls to browse and free massages (courtesy of Margaret @mjecreations) while Cambridge Community Circus, Bushcraft and Mill Road Rocks (pebble painting to supply the Mill Road Kindness Garden) meant that there were a LOT of very happy children; many also loved dancing along to the music. It was a perfect opportunity for families, friends and neighbours to meet and enjoy a free, inclusive event. Let’s make it an annual one.
